Our small schools have the benefit of strong parent-community collaboration, enhanced teacher-student relationships and high student engagement in the school community.

What’s more, SVUSD has competitive and enriching programs including a district-wide farm to school food program, multiple Career Technical Education pathways, strong athletic programs at both middle and high school levels, social emotional learning support, dedication to multiple experiential learning opportunities, and extracurricular enrichment such as sign language, hands on STEM learning, guitar, FFA, drama and much more!

Our students’ unique experiences in our schools and rural community allow them to stand out as competitive applicants at both selective universities and specialized trade programs. Our recent alumni are pursuing engineering degrees at UC Berkeley and Cal Poly; science degrees at UC Davis, University of Portland, and UCLA; and humanities degrees at Deep Springs College, the University of Oregon, Oregon State, and many more! Our recent graduates have also enlisted in various branches of the armed forces and career technical programs such as Oregon Coast Culinary Institute, College of the Redwoods Fire Academy, and Northwest Lineman College. We are proud of our graduates and know they will enrich their future communities with their acquired knowledge and skills.
